COMPSTELLATION

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

This policy describes information handled when you visit Compstellation at compstellation.com. It covers our news discovery site; linked publishers and external services have their own privacy policies.

Browsing and technical information

You can read the public feed without creating a Compstellation account. The public news interface does not request your name, email address or payment information. Our hosting and network providers process information needed to deliver and protect the service, which may include your IP address, browser and device details, requested URLs, request times and error information. Operational logs are handled under those providers’ retention and security practices.

The news service stores article metadata and public X posts to maintain a shared feed. These records concern published content, rather than a personal reading history. The current public feed does not implement a visitor profile, saved-reading account or custom analytics tracker.

External images, fonts and publisher pages

Images may load directly from publishers or X media servers, and fonts load from Google Fonts. These requests disclose technical information such as your IP address and browser details to the service receiving the request. Opening an article inside our reader loads the publisher’s website, which may use its own cookies, advertising and analytics. Following a link to a publisher, Google News or X also subjects that visit to the destination’s practices.

Cookies and browser controls

The current public news interface does not set its own advertising or analytics cookies. If you change the motion preference, that choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so it can be remembered on later visits. Hosting services and third-party content may use cookies or similar technologies. Your browser settings let you inspect, block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking third-party content may affect images or the article reader.

Google advertising

Google AdSense has been configured for site verification, but ad serving is currently disabled in our site code. When Google ads are active, Google and other advertising providers may place or read cookies, use web beacons, and process IP addresses, device or browser information and other identifiers to deliver ads, measure performance, prevent fraud and, where permitted and consented to, personalize advertising.

Google’s advertising cookies can enable it and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and other sites. Learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, read Google’s privacy policy, or manage ad personalization in My Ad Center. Browser cookie settings provide additional controls.

Before ad serving is enabled, applicable consent messages and controls must be configured. Where consent is required, those controls should allow you to make or change your choices. This policy itself does not request or record advertising consent.

Information sharing

Delivering the site involves hosting and network providers, as well as the external content services described above. Loading third-party content sends data directly to those providers. We do not operate a feature that sells visitor account details or a personal reading-history database.

Privacy questions and requests

Contact Compstellation at cstramaglia@gmail.com with privacy questions or requests concerning information handled by this site. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message and use them to respond and handle your request. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. For information held directly by an external publisher, Google or X, contact that service through its privacy channels.

Policy changes

We will update this page when the site’s data practices change, including when advertising is activated. The date above identifies the latest revision. Read more about the service on our About & editorial standards page.
